  • Right now, the search is basic and not very user-friendly.
  • An improved search with filters like by date, by most active, by tags, by user, or by popularity would help people find existing answers instead of creating duplicate threads.

    If you do a search from one of the main pages, the search results page lets you filter by many of the things you mention. Other functions let you filter by some of the ones that aren't covered by the search feature.

    The only one you list that I don't know how to search is "by popularity", but that's partly because I don't know how to define it in this environment. You can already sort within each topic area by "trending", or "top" which is sort of along that line, depending on how you'd define it.
