Metabolic Reset

Hi there,

I am starting a reset in a few weeks, looking to increase fermented foods. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thinking this is something you may want to do gradually, to avoid potential digestive discomfort.

Kefir, yogurt, kombucha, sauerkraut, kimchi, and pickles are my main sources.

It sounds weird, but I really like a couple of poached eggs on a pile of sauerkraut.

Also - making your own is easy and way, way cheaper than buying the good, live stuff which is the stuff you want to be eating for the benefits.

To those good suggestions, in a supporting role I'd add live-culture miso and raw vinegars. Apple cider vinegar is easiest to find in raw, unpasteurized form, but there are some other raw vinegars on the market if you look for them.

Don't forget the prebiotics, things you eat but that the gut microbes digest and thrive on. Basically these are varied types of fiber.

Personally, I don't think any of that is a metabolic reset, but those things are delicious and health-promoting so worth eating.
