BodyMedia other places than arm?

I could swear that when I was researching the bodymedia, I read that some people wore it other places than the arm. Can anyone tell me where else they've worn it with accurate results? I'm having issues with mine since I'm recovering from a shoulder injury and my left arm just does not like the band.

I mainly keep it on my left arm because that is the best recording. I've worn the armband on my ankle to hide it under jeans when I want to hide it. It doubles the calorie burn amount in that location but keeps an accurate step count and sleep amount. I also moved it up my left arm to the top of my shoulder to hide it under clothes, which seems to work normally but can be less comfortable and fall off easier.0

Have you tried the left calf? I haven't had good luck with that, but it's a suggested placement for certain activities if wearing it on the left arm isn't registering correctly. Or you can call them and ask them what's the next best location while you recover?0

Now why the heck didn't I think of calling customer support? I'll give that a shot tomorrow. I'll also give the calf and ankle a shot to see how well they work.0

I wear it in my bra strap because I don't like people constantly asking about it, but I really don't think the calorie counts are as high as they would be on the arm. Hopefully in the winter time I can go back to wearing it on my arm and wear long sleeves.0

I wear it on my left calf when i do leg exercises. I haven't worn it for an extended amount of time there so i don't really know how accurate it is or isn't. seems close during those exercises though.0

I get about the same reading on right or left arm so I usually alternate. The most accurate results are on the arm. The leg seems to double calories burned which isn't good. Also, I found out from customer support the step count isn't accurate if you are pushing something, for example a stroller or a shopping cart. It will be too low. But it does still measure the calorie burn correctly. They also said it is made for the arm, not other parts of the body.0

You can also put it on your right arm and switch your "handedness" in your profile. It may read a little different than your left arm, but it's going to be fairly close.0

I wear it on my calf when I spin and the calorie count is closer to my HRM than when I wear it on my arm. I also will wear it in my bra if I'm dressed up. It's better than nothing ! I've contacted customer support before about the huge discrepancy with cycling and their answer was they only recommend wearing it on the left arm. No help at all.0

I always wore mine tucked into the side band of my bra - kind of under where my arm naturally falls. The calorie counts were always a bit lower there, but at least I didn't have to wear the dreaded arm band!0

Yeah, I got the same response from customer service. I get that it's meant for the left arm but that's just not always possible. Grrrr..
So, I've got it on my left calf right now but I'm going to try the bra next. It's racked up 12 minutes of moderate exercise, 1 minute of vigorous, and 6 minutes of sleep since I got up and put it on an hour ago and all I've really done is made and ate breakfast! That's really really off from a normal reading for me.0
