use measurements / weights instead of "number of servings" in recipes

I'm new to the forum so this suggestion may have already been made… I'm finding it frustrating that when you add a recipe to calculate calories and macros, it uses "number of servings" instead of weights. I get it… that's quicker and easier and matches many online recipes. But if we're trying to be precise, we need to be able to weigh or measure the meals. I'd like an option to use "cups / oz" etc in the recipes. Or at least to be able to write in a note that says "one serving = one cup". Thanks for hearing me out.

It is a bit annoying, but I do this in the title of the recipe. I weigh the completed recipe, divide by 100 and put that number as the number of servings, then put in the title "per 100g".

I weigh the finished food, and put the number of grams in the number of servings for the recipe. MFP gives a sort of warning message, asking if I really meant the thing had 1748 servings or some such, but it lets me add it that way. Then, when I eat the food, I weigh my portion, and log it using the number of grams in my portion as my number of servings eaten.

Believe me, I have already repeatedly asked the support why they will not add, in addition to the number of servings, also the ability to measure in grams/ounces by default. No answer...
