Substitutes...

I have been losing weight and maintaining for nearly 8 years. When I started 8 years ago, I weighed in at 250+lbs.

I took to watching what and how much I ate and exercising daily. In about 2 years I dropped over 100lbs.

Got down to 145lbs. Maintained that weight for nearly year but due to family issues I started to falter and I gained about 30+lbs.

I have started back to what helped me originally I have gotten down 6lbs. But I'm dying for my salty and sweet snacks. I'm a HUGE snacker. But I stop eating at 7 at night. So any help would be greatly appreciated. And any fellow support and friends are welcomed. The photo I attached is me today...need to get 20+lbs off.

Salty: I go for things that either are low in calories, like pickles (any low-calorie type, not just cucumber pickles), or things that make decent contributions to my overall nutrition for their calorie level (hard-boiled eggs with seasoned salt, lowfat string cheese or snack cheese (I think nonfat is yucky, but 2% is fine in some types), seasoned dry-roasted edamame/soynuts, puppodums (microwaved, not fried)). It's also possible to eat raw veggies with a salty low-calorie dip, like seasoned plain nonfat Greek yogurt or vinegar.

Sweet: To me, artificial sweeteners - even noncaloric natural-ish things like monkfruit - taste off. Therefore, I eat sweets that have sweeteners with calories. I like unsweetened dried fruits (prunes especially), whole fruit, individually wrapped high-quality small chocolates.
