Calories added for calories burned exercising

Why do I get credit for calories burned while exercising? Wouldn't I lose weight faster if I didn't log my exercise even though I do it? For example, I want to eat 1200 calories a day but if I go for a power walk I end up getting credit and eating 1500 calories a day. This doesn't make sense to me. Would live to hear from others.

You asked this in another thread and people explained it

MFP gave you a calorie deficit BEFORE exercise. So when you add exercise .... the calorie deficit is actually bigger. Too large a calorie deficit will have you losing fat (yeah!) ...... AND muscle.
Do you want to lose "weight" ..... or fat? You choose.
*Warning* ..... MFP and many machines overstate calorie burns. Start by eating a percentage of calories back .... say 60%.
If you start to feel fatigued, run down ..... you need to eat more. 1200 calories is as low as MFP will go..... many people lose weight just fine with many more calories than that.0
