Got sick set back

last week I got a stomach virus and was in bed with a brat diet. My determined exercise routine was interrupted and I’m finding it hard to ramp back up. Finally took a gentle yoga class to remind my body that it feels good to move. Today resumed my walks. Whew

    Oh, I really know how you feel. My stomach bug started last Tuesday evening and I could barely eat and even drink all week. Even today, most foods still sort of disgust me when thinking about them and my portions are tiny.

    I love my exercise goals, but I tried a short run yesterday and while I made it through fairly easily, my heart rate was quite a bit higher than usual - a sign to take it easy. I'm focusing on just walking today!

    We're in it for the long haul, we need to be kind to our bodies and let them heal 🙂
