Have you got a stop smoking initiative or charity near you? They might be better placed to help you and discuss options to help you such as nicotine replacement / talking therapy. Good luck!

    Keep trying!

We both quit cold turkey in our house, a few years apart. We were both cranky for a few weeks - it was totally worth it!

Don't trade cigarettes for vapes - vapes are also super addictive.

Breaking the addiction is one of the best things you can do for you, so hang in & keep practicing find things that will help, like chewing straws, keeping hands busy.

One of these times, you will make it! Go you! Practice more - believe it - you really can ♡

I gave up 10 years ago and I'm sooo glad I did. I don't smell like an ash tray any more, I don't get so tired when I'm exercising and have a lot more money left at the end of each week

For what it's worth I used nicotine lozenges, which are heavily subsudised here in New Zealand. I still, very occasionally, reach for one now. As well as breaking free of the nicotine addiction, all the habits associated with smoking sabotage us on the quiting journey. For example, going outside for breaks at work smoking while watching TV and in the car during my commute. Find alternative habits to replace them. I started making an espresso coffee in the kitchen at work, started cycling to work instead of driving and took up knitting in front of the TV. Find new habits that work for you. Also, be kind to yourself; if you put a little weight on in the first couple of months, or find it harder to stick to healthy eating regimen forgive yourself. You're doing more good for health by giving up than you would by losing a couple of pounds.

    Good luck
