Limitations (bugs?) in the Android app upgrade

I found the "copy previous meal" function under My Meals when adding food to my diary, but it only seems to allow adding yesterday's meal from the same meal slot. This is insufficient. It should be possible to add any previous meal from any meal slot.

I can't find a way to add a meal to my diary, then save that meal to My Meals. It looks like I have to use the Create function in Recipes, Meals and Foods, and search each food all over again to create the saveable meal. This is cumbersome and insufficient. It should be possible to put a meal in my diary, then save that meal. I don't care whether that happens starting from the meal in the diary, or within the Create function in Recipes, Meals and Foods.

The pages are taking a woefully long time to load. The main page takes a long time to load the meal slots - several seconds after the page first appears. Transitioning between pages often takes several seconds, much longer than the previous version. Sometimes adding items to a meal even causes my device to show a "MyFitnessPal not responding" message; if I click "wait", the app eventually responds. Other functions are similar, long wait to delete a meal item, among others. This is annoying.

The functions that used to be under the 3 dots also seem to have disappeared, such as the Edit function that put check-boxes next to all the meal items so I could easily delete a whole multi-item meal from my diary. Now I need to long-press each item individually, and I'm getting many "MyFitnessPal not responding" messages during that process.

There may be more issues, but the above are what I've noted so far.

I don't really mind that it looks and behaves differently in the diary functions in general. I think I'll get used to it, and some of it may even feel more direct/efficient once I do. But the apparent departure of some convenience features and flexibility . . . that's not good.

In the Android app, I haven't been able to find a page that tells me the calories remaining for today. It's not on the Today page, it's not on the Nutrition page Calorie tab.

In a calorie counting app, I have to do arithmetic in my head to know how many calories I have left that I can eat today? 🙄

@AnnPT77 On the iPhone, you tap the number of calories used at the top and it moves from used to remaining. The macros also rotate the same way. Is that not the case on Android? That seems pretty pants!

On the android app the food items that compose about half of my calories and macros, we're talking common, green-checkmark items here, now show ZERO calories and ZERO macros in my diary. Just paid $100 for premium plus 6 days ago and now all the work I did logging my food is worthless.

Yes, it does. But that did work!

I had tried tapping that block of the page, and also tried long-pressing it, but didn't try tapping exactly on the calorie number.

    Thank you, @claireychn074!

When I use the "copy previous meal" function, it shows me the meal that will be copied, so I can click the check mark to log it. It looks like the image below on that verification page. If I add it, it logs the right portions/calories, but the way it displays is clearly a bug. Trust me, this meal doesn't have 40,617 calories, those macros, or any of those portion sizes.
