Salt to sodium conversion

The easy way to convert salt to sodium is to multiply the grams of salt by 400 to determine the milligrammes of sodium. Salt in grams x 400 = sodium in milligrammes.
Practically every food I log, I have to update because, sadly, people obviously don't know the difference between salt and sodium. Moving the decimal point a couple of places is not the answer.

I often see the same thing, since our food labels in Belgium also specify same rather than sodium.
I use this converter: https://www.heartfoundation.org.au/sodium-and-salt-converter
