Staying Accountable

Hi,

I am a first responder from the Midwest and stay active lifting weights and doing Cross training workouts.

The biggest issues I have are finding consistency, staying accountable and constantly fighting the desire to eat out.

I fall into the trap of forgetting to eat and then out of no where over eating at a fast food restaurant does anyone have any advise that truly helped them out on their weight loss journey????

Hi! You say you are a first responder. Can I assume that you are more likely to eat out when you haven't had the opportunity to eat on a regular schedule due to calls? (and then eat out because you are too tired to prepare and overly hungry? - needing immediate gratification from fast food).

If so, consider grab and go type foods that you can bring to work to keep you on your weight loss journey. Eating even just a small bit - a meat chop - HB egg - nuts - etc… maybe helpful. Something simple that doesn't take lots of planning and will satiate you for an hour or so. Just a thought for a place to start.

Still want to eat out? MFP has plenty of recommendations of what to eat at fast food places.

Hope this is helpful or at least gives you a starting point. :)
