Hi All not a newbie

this isn't my first rodeo. I had lost made goal weight a long time ago and had some domestic issues and babies and had lost my way for a very long time. it took a recent er visit to wake me up again. I had hit a really deep depression and now am working on me mentally and physically . Because my blood pressure has become so bad and would not go down with several medication changes, my doctor put me on Wegovy as a last chance hope. insurance had previously denied it , but after my severe blood pressure issues, they approved it in August of this year. It helped with the food noise and I have worked really hard and work on caring and loving myself again . Looking to make friends who have been on the same path or even newbies, as this can be a hard journey.

Hi there....and welcome! I am not a newbie either. I came to MFP a dozen or so years ago and lost 50 pounds in 18 months. But I went through a rough patch (my partner died) and over the course of several years, I gained back 30 of those 50. l came back to MFP a year ago last September and I have lost those 30 pounds and am shooting for another 10.

I am a diabetic and as a result, I was prescribed Ozempic, but after 9 weeks, I gave up…the side effects were too much. So I had to do it the old fashioned way. Its awesome that you can take the Wegovy....it will really help you!

The reason diets don't work is because people revert to the way they ate before they lost weight. It's a lifelong change, not a temporary fix.

You sound like you are well on your way. The mental issues are just as difficult as the physical ones....believe me, I know. You have to be emotionally ready. I would be happy to be your friend here, if you like. And I wish you the best with your weight loss journey!
