Greed at myfitness pal.

I can understand paying something for a package that you can use, but why be greedy about it? Package used to be free. Now they want $79.99 a year for membership. Why not just make it $29.99 a year? Quit being so damn greedy.

It's a business, not non profit organization. They primary goal is to make revenue and earn money. They have employees to pay, fees to pay for keeping website and app running and etc. Most companies due research before pricing they products , and set the price to make most profit but still be affordable to their target group. Also historically anything fitness related, especially weight loss related, will have higher price tag.

Also they have free version too. I'm sorry that you feel frustrated, but membership is a luxury item not a necessity and you have choice not to pay. I'm not related to fitnesspal in any way , just wanted to input my 2 cents.

If you want to be talking to MFP or its staff, post here:

    https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/categories/feature-suggestions-and-ideas

    . . . or here:

    https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/categories/myfitnesspal-tech-support-questions

. . . or email them, or contact them via the Help function.

In this section, you're just talking to regular MFP users like yourself. We can't do anything about the price.

And yes, PP is correct, it's still available as a free app, with ads. It's been a long time since I signed up: Maybe these days you have to sign up initially for Premium, but IMU you can drop the payment before the trial period ends and use the app for free. You don't get all the Premium features, but you get the basics.
