Cardio Wave

Hi everyone, I have recently discovered the Cardio Wave. I saw a girl on the machine in the gym and she looked amazing and quite a sweat on her! I gave it a go and I lasted 15 minutes before I wanted to pass out. However, my technique clearly needs a lot of work. Whilst on the machine a message kept flashing up telling me I had to work at a minimum speed, but I found that I could only work at that speed by doing short, stepper-like movements, and not the full, skiing type movement. Any tips on how you can do the full movement at that faster speed? For example, should you keep your feet planted or raise the heels with each step? There wasn't a gym instructor around to ask, there rarely ever is at the times I go.
Here is a link of the type of the machine and the movement I would like to get: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqsXgZtolRU&feature=related

wow i wish my gym had this machine...looks like a hell of a workout...
my only advice would be stick with it, its bound to get easier and your skill should develop as you use it! good luck!0 -
Any new movement is going to feel "harder" than it actually is and will require some anatomical adaptation. The Wave is another piece of cardio and it will provide similar benefits as will any piece of cardio equipment. The movement itself has been around for quite a while. Nautilus produced a similar machine circa 1994 but it never took off.0
