I am starting to get really really frustrated. I have been trying to lose weight for...well, forever. I wasn't too unhappy with my weight when my husband and I got together (but I wasn't thrilled with it), and when I was pregnant...Well, you're supposed to gain weight, right?
But now I feel like I'm trying to get my body back into normal working order, and he's making it impossible for me. I have to cook him separate meals for breakfast and dinner because he doesn't want to eat my "healthy food". Now, who's going to want to eat grilled chicken and veggies when he's got a huge steak, mashed potatoes loaded with sour cream and cheese, and ice cream for dessert? Um, not me! Some nights I'm really really good, and I just don't want any of it, but most nights I end up giving in and having some of what he's having. I know I should just tell him to shove it and cook his own food, but it's something I really like to do. I just wish he was more open to eating healthy, because then I wouldn't be tempted. I only have so much willpower, you know?
Sorry for whining, I was just wondering if anybody else has this problem and how you get through it.

I feel for you hun, my husband and I are doing this together but... I only make 1 dinner. Whatever hubby and I eat the kids do to. I want them to have healthy eatting habits and thank god I am blessed with children who love their fruits and Veggies. At the end of the day in my house it's "Eat whats cooked , or do without" Why create more work for yourself.0

I wish I could do that. My son luckily eats what I make, and that's that. But since he's only 9 months old, his food preferences aren't as ingrained as my husband's. I try to sneak in healthy choices, like mix cauliflower in with the mashed potatoes, or sneak spinach into spaghetti and meatballs, but sometimes I just think, 'It's not worth it to try so hard to make him healthy if he doesn't want to be.' Maybe I'll just do what you do. Cook one meal, and that's that. I'll see what his reaction is!!0
