    1.Halloween - we always have a party!

    2. Thanksgiving - don't participate. Hubby and I take a couples only trip every year and the ex gets the kids. Works out for all of us.

    3. Christmas - LOVE it. We go out into the desert and collect tumbleweeds and make a tumbleweed tree. We host some sort of Christmas soiree, we host a cookie decorating party & exchange for the kids and moms, the kids get ONE gift from us and the rest of the budgeted christmas money is used to buy gifts for less fortunate families. This is our tradition and my kids have grown to really enjoy it. I want them to know it's important to give back and make other people happy. Especially when they have everything they could ever need or want.

1- Halloween's not such a big deal in Australia....we have a small degree of celebration ( a few kids on the block trick or treating etc. but nothing like the US) Having said that, it's my Birthday so we usually have a Halloween dinner or party.

    2- Thanksgiving doesn't exist here

3- Aussie Christmas. Obviously its the middle of summer here when Christmas arrives so we have Christmas at the beach or around someones pool. Icy cold beers and barbeque shrimp (prawns), lots of meats and salad.

What I do is I make a ton of candy, by the time I am done. I am so sick of it. That I gave them away to all my coworkers and clinics. Works like a charm!
