What should I order?

Going out for supper tonight and looking at the menu online to decide what to order. There is no nutritional information available.
I'm trying to decide between:
1. Mixed greens with julienned carrots, cranberries, red onions and toasted
sunfl ower seeds, tossed with our housemade citrus melon dressing. I would add a grilled chicken breast to this.
2. Cajun Trout Salad: Fresh Trout spiced and grilled. Served over a mixed green
salad with bell peppers, black beans, sweet corn kernels and chopped dates
in a honey-lime dressing.
And just for interest, this is what i would order if i wasn't trying to watch what i eat:
Butternut squash-stuffed pasta tossed with roasted vegetables in a pesto
cream sauce.
What do you think? I think number 2 would taste much better but i'm not sure how many more calories it would be...

Yum....hope you really enjoy yourself0 -
You could get your best approximation on here by looking through the database for something that is about the same as what you are looking for to see which one would be the best.0

Um I would definitely go with number 2..it sounds delish! See if you can even order the dressing on the side since they usually put way to much on wherever you go..good luck0

When you gat back you should go to the recipe creator and put it together. It will then tell you how many calories you ate, and you can save it for the next time.0

I would go with what I want and only eat 1/4 to a half, with a house salad.

I'm in the minority, but I would choose the salad with the chicken because the second choice sounded too sweet to me, but if you really like sweet flavor, you should get what you like. I think there's a rule that restaurants have to provide nutritional info when asked.
When eating out, I try to get what I want, eat slowly, and if I know ahead of time, I do an extra workout to make up for whatever damage I am going to do. If I eat slowly, and drink water, I get full quickly and never finish a meal. Then I have lunch for the next day:happy:
I hope you enjoy your evening tremendously.0 -
thanks everyone
i'm eating out too much lately to get what i want, haha :P just the way the last week has gone..
so, i get to the restaurant, and the menu has changed from the website...needless to say i wasn't impressed.
I ended up getting something similar to the second salad:
Blackened Salmon salad with corn, tomatoes, black beans, avocado and a cumin lime vinegrette. I got the dressing on the side and used my fork to dip into it.0
