I think those BBC documentaries are great.
I have watched the Men who made us fat all three parts are on you tube
The Men who made us thin , all four parts are on you tube.
The truth about food all six parts on you tube
Supersizers Go on you tube
Rip Off foods on you tube
and now I will watch this. Thanks for the heads up.0 -
Okay I watched the documentary all 4part about 10 minutes each.
They had good science on puree soup , it keeps you full longer than a sandwich so to speak, exercise helps with fat loss fat loss as the benefits continue long after the hour spent in the gym, calcium is important in reducing fat, the visual that showed a large plate of food equally the same amount of calories as a little bit of chocolate, a smoothie a muffin was good. Worth watching.
Also tracking, most people undertrack their food consumption by as much as 50%, that was why the gal wasn't losing weight, an analysis of her urine showed she was consuming far more calories than the amount she was recording.0 -
I am watching a documentary that came out a year ago

I also found this one very helpful:
The truth about food - How to be slim (BBC)

and this one was very interesting in highlighting to me just how much eating out can add in terms of cals (also british). I now know that one large Pepperoni Pizza contains more cals then my daily allowance, in fact with extras and drinks and all up I could probably manage twice my daily allowance :-)
