So far my first week is going okie. But I'm not sure if I’m eating the right amount of calories throughout the day. Should you be eating more at lunch or at dinner? I'm eating about 300 for breakfast, 400-500 for lunch, 400-500 for dinner, and about 300-400 of snacks.

Today is my first day without soda too so I know that will cut some out. But is this good? Should I be eating more for one or another? Thanks for the advice.

It doesnt matter. If you're eating at a calorie deficit, you will lose weight.

That sounds like a good balance to me. I don't know what your stats are goals are, but it seems balanced. Some people say not to eat after a certain point in the evening, but I workout at 7pm and think that's a bunch of bologna- you can decide. You body is continuing to burn calories (even when youre sleeping). The thing that I noticed for myself is when I looked at the macros of the calories I was eating. I was in the range of 70+% carbs, 25% fat and a TINY bit of protein. I am now eating at 50% carb, 25% fat and 25% protein and am noticing differences. Have you looked at the macros of your diet?

PS Cuttingout the soda should make a HUGE difference, stick to it :)

I tend to be hungrier earlier in the day than later, so the bulk of my calories come from breakfast and lunch, with maybe 1/4 coming from dinner. From a weight loss perspective, it doesn't matter which is the big meal (eat breakfast though). Go by how you feel and what your particular pattern is.

Timing of meals makes no difference. Do what works for you.

Whatever works for you. I try to space things out so that I have essentially eaten 2/3's of my calories by the time I get home from work. Some people prefer a heavier breakfast and lunch and a lighter dinner.
