How do people keep motivated at the gym? I get so bored too quickly so my sessions get shorter and shorter. Is it just finding th right routine for me?

I am never bored at the gym. I sometimes dread it because I know I am going to get my butt kicked by whatever workout I have that day, but never bored. What do you do at the gym?

Go in with a game plan, when I first started, I spent way waaaaay too much time trying to figure out what to do, but then as time progressed, I wrote down what I planned on working out that day, and how many sets and reps, and set mini challenges for myself, to lift one extra rep, to do two more pull ups. The motto in my head is "try until you succeed."

If you have your routine mapped out in your head, less room for guessing and wasting time. You kind of zero in on the weights, machines you need and want, knock out your sets and move on to the next.

I used to spend 2 hrs aimlessly guessing about what I wanted to do, now I'm in and out in 45-60. (Busy gym, so need to factor in wait time, lol)
