Ideal Protein

I was just wondering if anyone has tried this and what the pro's and con's are of it? I know a couple people that have done it, had great success and have kept the weight off. And I have had 1 person tell me that it is dangerous. I'm considering trying it out so any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
