I'm finding it hard to get my stomach flat and toned. I have cut back on a lot of things I used to eat & started doing some ab exercises.... But it still seems like i'm doing something wrong.. I just wanted to hear from you all who have acomplished a flat toned or abed (?) stomach after your stomach being round and flabby.. I'd like to have a flat toned stomach.. I feel like i'm losing all hope... Remind me that it's still possible!! thanks!
what foods did you avoid cause many i'm missing something
what foods did you eat?
what exercised did you do?
thanks again.

Well, I only wish I could say that I'm at a successful place with this already, but based on what I've learned so far, belly fat will continue to diminish with the loss of overall body fat and "toning" will require strength/resistance training. I have only been here since mid-June and have so far lost 45 pounds of a projected 150 or so.
Up until now, I've mostly just been walking and doing physical work (roofing, painting, housecleaning), which varies day to day and week to week. I just started logging activity more regularly this week so I can have a better record and started a little strength training this morning (at 2:00 am lol). I'm excited! Can't wait until I can do more...it was not pretty this morning. Lol!
As for what I eat, I try to eat largely nutrient dense, calorie moderate foods, lots of protein, some good fat, and fiber. The biggest reason is that I like to eat and I don't want to run out of calories to do so. That said, I'm definitely not afraid of a slice of pizza, either. I am moving closer all the time to more of a IIFYM plan, but ultimately I don't stress as long as I'm at a deficit, especially as I'm not working out a ton yet.
I find looking at the "success stories" and reading comments from successful members is very encouraging. They are easy access to proof that it can be done, no doubt. And often, there is a lot to learn from their experiences. My daughter and I love looking at the progress pictures.
What would giving up or being hopeless accomplish? You'll never reach your goal then! Hang in there!0
