Sugar Free?

I've always been told that I need to stop drinking the diet pop and all things aspartame. I've basically been trying to lose weight my whole life, so I have never been able to give up the "diet food." For some reason I have been thinking I should give it a go. Maybe for a month or so. I know I can do it. I have already trained myself to drink my coffee with just milk.

Have you given up sweeteners? Do you notice a difference?

There are other non aspartame sweeteners out there, like stevia or truvia. I have just recently started cutting back on my sugar intake and started using the stevia in the raw, its not to bad. I have never drank diet soda's so I can't give you advice in that direction.

You do not need to cut items out that you enjoy, unless you have a medical condition. Diet soda and aspartame are not the devil. If you have been trying to lose weight and it is not working, it is not because of the diet soda or "diet foods", it is because you are eating a calorie surplus.

I am not giving up sweeteners to lose weight. I just want to be healthier. Some people say that they cause you to gain weight because they make you crave carbs, but that hasn't really been my experience.
