Is it possible to lose weight in your feet?

Ok, weird, I know. But I've lost 20 lbs so far and have been shoe shopping. I used to wear a size 9, but they fit me too big now! I have to get an 8.5! I don't get it...my feet don't look slimmer, and I know I could have been bloated before or something, but really?! MY FEET!?! Why not the budunkadunk-junkinmytrunk?!?! Or my spare tire?! Or anywhere else?! Yup...I'm rockinsugarskullmama and I lose weight in my feet...:noway:

I have not lost in my feet, but I have in my hands. Needs to get my ring re-sized. I would rather lose it in my hips or tummy, but weight loss is weight loss I guess!0

I doubt you lost weight in your feet. Most likely your feet have been swollen with water.
Fat is burnt from everywhere at roughly the same rate.0 -
One of the first places I lost weight was in my feet. I had pretty much the same reaction as you. It could be water retention, but I know in my case, I lost about a half size in the course of dropping 90 lbs, and is hasn't come back now that I am eating around maintenance again, so it is possible.0

Yup - I went from a 10 to a 9 or 9 1/2.0

Well, I gained a lot of weight and I had to go up in my shoe size so I believe whole-heartedly that you can lose weight in your feet. Just another reason to go on a wild shoe shopping spree : )0

OMG I thought I was the only one! I went down a 1/2 size too0

I'm 60lbs down and have lost 1/2 to a full size in shoes and a full ring size. I wish I had lost it elsewhere but again you don't get to choose where it comes from.0

Both feet and hands. My feet are less wide now and my fingers have slimmed out enough to need to resize my rings.
Fat will be burned wherever you're predisposed to lose it first...can't spot reduce unfortunately. But hey, smaller feet and hands are always good...:) The rest will follow!0 -

LOL about the ring size thing. I wore a size 5.5 ring even at 300 lb. Now at 224 I need a 4.5 gaaaah why can't it be my spare tire that's teensy!?0 -
You'll lose fat from everywhere - including your feet.0

That was my thought.....your feet have been swollen....
poor circulation due to weight was the reason for the swelling??
For the women, why do your ankles and stuff swell when pregnant?0 -
I have gone up a whole size after gaining 75 pounds so I believe it's possible. I've lost 23 lbs and now my feet slide around in my 10s0

You will lose fat all over....
But as far as your feet getting bigger or smaller....I would say only in the sense of fat tissue expanding or contracting.
If you wore a size 10 back when you 120 lbs, then you most likely are a size 10 at 320 lbs......
You may however require a bigger shoe to accommodate the increase of fat cells.....or swelling.
But your bones in your feet did not grow......
Once you stop your growth as a teenager....that is pretty much it I would assume for bones, no??0
