Okay so I have heard mixed answers on this one. Should I weigh myself everyday? I have been told yes because it keeps myself on track, but I have also been told no because your weight usually fluctuates everyday and you should weigh yourself once a week. What do you guys think? Help please :)

Will you get frustrated and want to come here and post a topic titled "I'M OFFICIALLY GIVING UP!!!!!" whenever you see the scale go up?
If yes, weigh weekly. If no, continue to weigh daily.

It's whatever you want to do. I weigh every morning but I don't expect to lose weight every day.

I weigh everyday and have been since I have been on this site.

My Nutritionist who I just saw last month says, weigh in once a week if not every 10 days.

I tried this and started gaining. Once a day works for me, you just have to remember

the fluctuation of the daily scale. If you can handle that, you should be golden.

    Good Luck

I weigh myself every single day without fail on my Fitbit Aria. Sometimes it goes up, but most days it comes down.

I just can't handle the suspense of waiting days to see how much weight I've lost.

You have to learn to ignore the daily fluctuations, but I find it massively motivational (on the whole!)

I did for a long time. I can seriously eff with your head, but it was helpful to see every little loss at first. But, the less I had to lose, the more it screwed me up. And, now that I've reached my goal, then gained 15-20 back, I don't weight daily. The fluctuations kill me. And I know I'll be up n Ondaybecauseately mu weekend eating has been for crap. I'm a work in progress. ;) I think a once a week weigh in, same conditions/time is best. If you want to weigh daily, the other things did was note it, but only "count" the official weekly weigh-in.

Do it if your ego can handle it. At first it was a roller coaster but over time I was able to see the general trend and didn't get worked up over spikes. It's nice to understand just how much the weight of a human body can vary with all the different variables at work. Sodium, hydration, bathroom breaks, etc.
  • You should weigh in whenever you have a strong desire to. Don't do it out of duty........ and certainly don't do it out of paranoia. When you think you may have lost a few pounds......hop on and see. If you gained....... look at your diary and your habits and the time of the month, etc....... and see if you can find out what is going on and what you need to do.

If you are feeling good...... and doing well...... and you are not thinking about your weight........ STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE SCALE!!!! For those of us who struggle with obesity.....we are obsessed with our weight. Feeling good, doing well and not thinking about weight is a good thing!!

I weigh daily, but I set absolutely no time limits on when to expect weight. I beat my head on that wall enough, thank you.

I weigh myself only once a month (as soon as my cycle is over). I used to obsess and weigh once a day but I couldn't handle it. I couldn't even handle once a week. For my peace of mind, I can only weigh once a month. A lot of people don't like this approach but I enjoy seeing big(ger) losses once a month more than smaller losses weekly.

I weigh myself every day because I like to graph it and see the daily fluctuations and the moving 7-day average.
