I'm 5 ft 3 and I weight about 134 lbs. I feel chubby at this weight, but cant seem to shift it. The lightest I got to was 129 lbs. My problem areas are my tummy/sides and my upper arms. My muscles get stronger when I work out, and they feel harder, but the fat on top of the muscle isn't shifting.... anyone else have this problem??

I seem to be missing more than one critical attribute for this thread. I feel discriminated against.

I'm 5'1" (sometimes 5'2" if i wanna lie to myself. Lol
My problem areas are definitely stomach and thighs. For someone so short, I inevitably have short stubby legs that lead up to fatter thighs for the sake of holding up my booty ;-) I embrace it though. What i cant stand is the flabby stomach area.

Oh, and don't get my started on my flabby arms! Short fat limbs everywhere! Hahaha.

5 feet 0 inches even on a GOOD hair day. However, hubby :hearts: to remind me per a pic of me at a kids park next to a height chart that I'm REALLY only 4 ft 10 1/2 ". i'm sticking 5 ft even and that's that.

Probably areas have always been hips, butt and thighs, even when I was dancing and swimming in Jr/HS. However, mostly weight was an issue after I started dating my hubby. We'd liked to eat out and drink every weekend. To be in  and young. Haaaa. Lost 40 before we got married, but gained it back and then some with two pregnancies, c-sections, and babies.

Regardless, of my bad genes on both sides of my family, I know when I'm active and watch what I eat, I can and have lost weight in the past. I also have an hour glass shape. Even though I'm still heavy, I have a smaller waist. That part I  1/2 way to goal I'm still bottom heavy, but NOTHING like I use to be.

    GL everyone. Keep fighting!

    Xoxo

I'm big all over. I, too, have the lovely "bat wings," the turkey gobble double-chin, back fat, stomach, and thighs. Heck, even my feet are fat! LOL But my stomach doesn't stick out - it hangs over! Excess skin that I'm afraid will probably require surgery, even if I lose weight. Like I have money for that...

My biggest problem, even though I've had a ton of success with counting calories, is that I can't seem to reach my goal height.

    It sucks

    Yeah, it's a bummer man. =P

Really though, it's hips/butt for me. Never get smaller, just more defined.

Ok I'm 5'3", but my biggest problem is the baby flab on my stomach. Walking has taken care of most of my leg problem.

I'm 5'0" and pear shaped, so my biggest problem is lower belly, hips, and thighs.

My mom is 4'10" and my grandma 4'11" and they have/had the opposite problem -- big in the "fronts."
  • I'm 5'2 and my thighs and butt were deff the hardest thing to shape up. It took 9 months of clean eating and I jog 5-7 miles 5 days a week. Lots of hip bridges and donkey kicks. Hard work, but it paid off!

hobbits have very big hairy feet... I prefer oompa loompa LOL

    I'm 5ft2.5
Unfortunately for all of us it seems body shape is the crux of the issue not height. And we all already know that we can loose but we can't loose where we choose to loose, it's just going to go from where it wants to. So try to love whatever bits you have.

I'm hourglass pretty much at any weight my waist is 8inches narrower than my boobs and hips which are normally the same, though the thighs are massive. I too have batwings and bubble butt
My mum calls it my bench butt, because people could have a comfy seat there... :(

Even at my lowest weight (HS and Adulty) - 57kg - 125lbs my thighs still chafed like crazy.
I wear tights now under everything to stop that

Also just as an added benefit to my batwings - (and I was told by a doctor that this can happen to any woman because our bodies like animals' can have boobies all along the 2 straight lines from where they actually are) - mine actually grow into my armpits - had to have surgery to get it cut out of one side because my bra would stab it and it was excruciating, but it is actual breast tissue not fat (the doc showed me the difference when I had the surgery). Now everyone thinks it's just fat, but I won't loose it. So when I reach my goal weight, I will think about getting it removed again. There is no pain now, so will be considered cosmetic, so not covered by insurance ....

OK I've stopped whining... I don't have a problem with my height, just my horizontal height...
The tallest guy I dated was 6ft7 and we fit fine, just like partner now who is probably 5"10?
