Is 84 grams of fat enough?

I'm supposed to eat whole foods. So many much nutrition advice claiming "Eat avocado!" "Olives are awesome!" "Hey, stupid, eat more fish!" So I do these things (I don't eat grains as it causes an inflammatory response for me) but I"m frequently way over my fat and protein goals. I am constantly going over 100g for fat and 120-130g for protein. Is this too much? It seems like I can't not eat that much fat and protein.

It depends which school of eating plan you follow and believe.
Media tells us to eat healthy fat, but also fat is bad.
Says no to sugar but says carbs are fine when carbs just turn into glucose(sugar)
If you want to eat more fat just eat less carbs, keep it under calories and you are fine.
Dont eat too much protien it can strain the liver/kidneys. Aim under 35%.
If you like eating fats then try switch to a ketogenic diet where you eat 65% fat 35% protein and only 5% carb, and it really works for some people (including me) for energy levels, general health and weight loss.
You may get ill for 1-2days as you adjust but it will be all so much better from then on.
Don't fear fats, humans have been eating them for hundreds of years for longer lasting energy and your body loves them.
Carbs/sugar is what causes you to store fat, not fats themselves0 -

No, those numbers are fine. You can really get as much fat and protein as you want as long as you stay within your calorie goal. You can pretty much go arbitrarily low on carbs. If you notice depressed energy levels from low carbs, then kick it back up. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, dairy products (milk, yogurt, ice cream), sweet vegetables like beets, etc, are good ways to get carbs without grains.0 -

No. Excess calories is what causes you to store fat.Dont eat too much protien it can strain the liver/kidneys. Aim under 35%.
Also no. Protein targets should be based on lean mass and whether the person is gaining or losing weight. It's virtually impossible to get too much protein; you're talking 250+ grams a day before it becomes a concern.0 -
I'm on the paleo diet which means lots of protein...I'm not sure how much protein I should have per day, but I do know that there is a lot of research that says protein is not bad for the kidneys. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-mike-hart/nutrition-myths-_b_3641936.html0
