Never Posted in here before

Hello everyone! My name is Dave and I have been using MFP for 16 months and have had great success. I tried all kinds of fad diets and failed miserably but now I feel confident I can sustain this weight loss for good! I would love to help out or encourage anyone that wants to add me as a friend. I don't know everything and I know my version of weight loss won't work for everyone but I am willing to share my successes and cheer others on in the process. My first bit of advice to anyone would be to stay accountable and stick with it. If you eat like crap, log it! Next thing is to forgive yourself and move forward... Remember you are in this for the long haul and you will not be perfect and that is OK!!!!!! Also if you are very big (I was over 350lbs when I started using MFP) don't jump into exercise hardcore. Just focus on the diet life change, after a month or two you will see big results and can add mild activities like walking or an elliptical. After you lose even more weight you can increase your time or intensity or both but remember to ease into it over time and build your endurance. Remember you didn't get this way overnight and can't change it that way either. Stay focused on your goal and allow yourself to be "bad" every now and again. Don't deny yourself your favorite foods along the way because that will make you crave it more. Anyway I'll stop but I wanted to say hi. Cheers everyone!
