Microwaving Quest Bars

Ok, really random and silly question. I'm not so slowly getting on a Quest Bar kick but sometimes I'll only want half of one.

Do I microwave the half bar for half the time? Do I microwave the whole bar for the whole time, eat half and then let it cool for another day?

What do I do???

Microwave the whole thing for half the time, break it in half, microwave the half you're going to eat for the other half of the time, do the same thing for the other half tomorrow.

Please, whatever you do, DO NOT microwave Quest bars!

The combination of chemicals in them will cause cancer if you microwave them. That is something about the microwave, a/k/a death box, that some people just don't understand. You can't microwave certain foods. You just can't. Popcorn is fine, a cup of coffee is fine, but if you start putting those chemical laden protein bars in there, you're going to have a real problem. If you don't believe me, run a google search on it.

Don't get me wrong, but doesn't a microwave just agitate the water molecules?

I put gravey on my dog's food once and then microwaved that . . . it gave her the worst gas ever. I wonder if microwaving quest bars works the same way.

That's just what government wants you to believe. Don't just take my word, google it. There's lots of solid research on this on the internet.

Then why would Quest themselves always put out recipes that include microwaving them?

Microwave both halves, but longer than you normally would to just soften them--I do one minute, and they turn into cookies (I'm not being snarky, they really do!). Then share with a friend. :flowerforyou:

Put it in the microwave for ten seconds, then take it out and broil it in the oven for a few minutes (not more than 4 probably) and they get like cookies! OMG amazing! Now I need to go have a Quest bar lol
