Feel like crap after cheating?

I usually eat really cleanly and healthily: lots of salads for lunches, fruit for breakfast and snacks and broth and vegetables for dinner. However, I will be eating two cheat meals this weekend. One on Saturday, which I just had and one tomorrow, for lunch.

I exercised quite a lot this week,

Monday: 1 hour of running and brisk walking
Tuesday: 2 hours of hockey training with lots of sprints
Wednesday: running and brisk walking for an hour
Thursday : 2 hours of hockey training
Friday: 1 hour of walking and running

I'll be exercising a little today doing strength and stuff and tomorrow, running 4km again .

However, I feel like I shouldn't cheat at all and for lunch today, I ate:

1 slice of pizza from a 9 inch pizza, one bowl of mushroom soup, some salad and a few sips of chocolate milkshake. I feel so incredibly bloated and physically sick and I think I'll be doing it tomorrow for lunch again because it's like a family affair :( I don't know what I should do?

Is it possible the reason you feel 'incredibly bloated and physically sick" is that you're lactose intolerant ?
'cause it doesn't sound like you ate excessive quantities of food to feel so sick.

Nothing you listed sounds unreasonable. I'm not sure what you consider to be a "cheat"... but there is nothing wrong with one slice of pizza and some soup.

It could be from the sodium in both the pizza and the soup. I can't eat pizza anymore without feeling CRAZY thirsty, and so then I drink lots of water and it just sits there... for HOURS. So yeah, that's kind of the only thing I can think of.

But soup and a single slice as a cheat? Not in my book.

If you feel sick from eating that stuff don't eat it. Plan and simple mate. Eat something else. Maybe the food just didn't mix right in your stomach.

I would agree with Debbie - it sounds like potentially lactose intolerance. I have 2 kids and a wife like this and it doesn't take much dairy to cause:

    Runny nose
    Loose stools
    Indigestion
    Bloating
    Nausea
    Asthma
    Exma (aka Psoriasis)
    Lethargy

And generally feeling like crap. Your local chemist / drug store should be able to do a quick test to confirm it. IMO there is nothing wrong with what you ate!

To answer your question about what to do with the family, in the short term try to avoid anything that might have cow's milk products in them. Goat and sheep milk will be fine.

    Hope it helps!

Anytime I eat something "bad" (fast food for example) that I haven't eaten in a long time it causes all kinds of hell on my stomach! Just take it easy, if there's not much of an option just very small portions or eat something before you go!

btw- if you're lactose intolerant, it's good to know that lactose & 'milk solids' are added to non-dairy items !!
As a food addtitive used for its texture, flavor and adhesive qualities.

Lactose & milk solds can be found in:
    Salami and other processed meats
    Hot dogs
    sausage
    gravy stock powder
    margarines
    sliced breads
    cereal
    potato chips
    protein supplements
    beer
    BBQ sauce

Hope this helps you out :):)

You could be feeling those things because your body is not used to eating that way.

thats funny cause sometimes when people stall and they eat "cheating" meals. They drop a crap load of weight because the energy replenishment drops their cortisol levels and they lose water weight.
