I just recently started my weight loss journey and I'm still uneducated about some details. I can feel now that I have my metabolism increased which is good. OK that's the background...kinda. The question is: What's happening at night while I sleep? I weighed myself last night right before bed and I was at 295. I woke up this morning and I had lost 5 lbs. I drink about a gallon of water a day and eat 5 small meals per day. Could this have something to do with it?

Your body goes through weight fluctuations daily. Also people just starting out with diets/fitness/exercise plans tend to drop a lot of water weight right away. It will eventually slow down however. Don't let that discourage you. Our body gives up the weight/fat when *IT* wants to!0

Digestion. That is why you lost 5lbs from last night to this morning. You can get the same effect by going 10 hour without eating. Just weigh your daily at the same time.0
