Hey everyone, any chance you know the calories in a small portion of chip shop chips? I've seen all different online, anywhere between 300-600calories. Mine was a small portion I'm thinking around 200g. Looking for protein, carbs and fat too if you know it, thanks!

You're probably not going to get an accurate calorie amount for a takeaway, so you might as well find one on MFP and estimate. MFP will tell you the protein, carbs and fat for the one you choose - although as I said its more likely you will have to just guess so it may not be accurate.

I would say more than 600 calories, the batter and the fat count for a lot, not mentioning the chips!

I didn't have any fish/sausages or anything with it, just a small portion of chips. Bad day! But I'm under 50g fat and I'm on a bulk at the moment and been training 3x a week weight training a full body routine so hopefully won't set me back too much . . . my TDEE calculator says to bulk between 1800-2000 calories, 40g fat, 180g protein and 180g carbs which does seem a little high considering I'm only 4ft 11inches and weigh 6st11lb

you could check out some of the chain pubs or chain restaurants that publish their calories on their websites and then estimate a bit more since it probably contains more fat

According to my Rosemary Conley Calorie Guide, an average portion of fish shop chips is 550 cals.
