    Based on looks alone? Rugged ... facial hair and tattoos are even better.

    I'm lucky my boyfriend fits that looks-wise, but he's also the geeky type that I like inside :)

    Tall...with scars who looks like he's lived a little. Give me laugh lines and a little grey hair. No men who look like buff Stepford wives.

    Rugged is nice. I have pretty broad tastes when it comes to what I find attractive in a guy and I definitely prefer those with imperfections. Men who are beautiful/perfectly sculpted are lovely to look at - like fine art or sculpture - but I don't really feel attracted. I like men warm, human, approachable and a bit rumpled.

    Mine is strong and rugged with a youthful face and it’s perfect to me. Thank goodness for his scruffy facial hair though or he’d look 15 years younger!

    Something about a strong rugged man in a uniform gets me. But I do like the handsome buff gym guys too. Im sure there are guys who are both. As long as he's about 6 foot and up im good.

    It all depends on what I see in their eyes.

    My BF is strong/rugged with facial hair and tattoos but he cleans up exceptionally well and it doesn't take him long either. Add intelligence, humor and the fact that he's a good daddy = winner.

    Well, strong is a prerequisite, regardless of age. Rugged ... depends on what you mean. The way you juxtaposed that with "immaculately groomed" makes me think you're talking about a dirty, hairy woodsman vs. a clean-cut, career oriented guy.

    Masculinity is a turn-on for me. A big one. I'm into strong, confident, dominant men. Proper hygiene is a must and the ability to dress himself appropriately for all occasions (or at least willingness to wear what I tell him to wear) is critical, but if he spends more time grooming himself than I do, it's probably not going to work.

    The age thing ... it's less important to me than it used to be. I know who I click with and who I don't, and that's dependent more on lifestyle and attitude than age. But there is something really hot about an older man (older than I am, I mean) who works out and keeps himself in good shape. It's like he's past the frat guy stage and has his life together, but he's still young enough and active enough for the fun stuff. That combination makes me a little bit crazy.
