Hi, my name is Lianna and I live in Western Australia. I have been working on my weight since I was sixteen which was 42 years ago. :-)
Lately, the last 12 months or so, I have struggled to adhere to a healthy lifestyle as we have renovated our house which took more than 12 months (instead of 4 and it is not quite finished yet). And now that I have returned from a compulsory 5,5 weeks away visiting my family in the Netherlands and in the UK and now that our tradesmen have left the building, I feel relaxed and ready to go again.
I need to loose about 13 kg and I am working towards the morning of 24 December. Also, I allow myself one Sin Day per week: a day that I can eat (in moderation) and drink (in moderation). Other days I will not drink alcohol and that is my weakness: I drink alcohol on a daily basis. Not only does the intake of alcohol jeopardizes my waistline (which is currently non-existent), alcohol also jeopardizes my health. Funnily enough, for the first time ever I find that health reasons are a greater motivator to loose weight and to exercise (again) than vanity does.
I have joined two groups and I am ready to roll.

Hi Lianna, welcome!
I like the idea of having one Sin day/wk. I have trouble with conforming to any regime but am inspired by the things
that other people try. Having a few friends means seeing a few different regimes and allows more choices.
Best of luck with your journey.
What is the first thing you want to try.... your first goal?0 -
Hello, My name is Valerie, I am 54 and I live in Nebraska. I have always been overweight and stuggled with keeping my weight down. In the past 8 years I have gained 100 pounds on top of the 30lbs I was already overweight with. So total I have a goal of lossing 130 pounds. I found this site this week by accident and have been using it the past 3 days and really like it how I can record what I have ate and how much excerise I have done. I also started walking the first day that I started using this website. I didn't get very far (4 blocks), as I become very exhausted, but everyday I have walked further today I walked 12 blocks, so I am already making my goals. My main weakness is going to be sweets, I like desserts. However I have decided that I am going to get healthy and increase my activity so I can see all of my grandchildren graduate high school.0
