Your Calorie Deficit VS your weight loss

I would like to know for everyone here, how does how much you expect to lose compare to how much you lose? So if you could please try to summarize "how much is your deficit on average" and "how much is your weight loss" on average. Also please post how long you've been dieting.
Thanks :-)
For me I've been aiming at 1 pound a week but this last week(500cal deficit) I've lost about 1.5-2 pounds the last week, and I've been dieting for 3-4 weeks now. The data for the previous few weeks isn't really helpful because I lost a lot of weight at first, as is common.
Thanks :-)

MFP set my target goal at 1200, which I guess is the norm. I initially ate back my exercise calories, but I noticed they were coming up a lot higher than what my BodyBug was reporting for that workout at that duration, so I started ignoring MFP's calculations. My BodyBug could be totally wrong, but I paid a lot of money for it, so I'm going to pretend it's right to justify its expense.
In 8 weeks even, I lost 21 lbs. Though it averages out to 2.6 lbs. a week, there was the big loss in the beginning, and then for the past 5 weeks I've noticed I have a 10 day plateau, then a sudden drop, another 10 day plateau, and another sudden drop. I haven't figured out if it's metabolism, diet/exercise routine, sodium consumption, or what. But it's like clockwork when I chart it for the last 3 10 day cycles. My chart looks like a flight of stairs and I log on "change" days when there is something to report rather than a set day or date.0 -
I started at 300lbs last August (2012). For the first few weeks, I lost a lot, 3 or 4, and rarely, 5 lbs a week for a month or two before I joined MFP in late September, then I lost about 2lbs a week for the next 40 weeks or so, eating at an average weekly deficit of 7000 calories. That brought me down to 190. Then things kinda slowed down, so I upped my net to 1400 and am now consistently losing a lb a week on a 3500-5000 weekly average deficit. I have a Bodymedia Fit and I weigh and measure my food, so I have been fairly textbook in my weight loss. And you're right, I think it is quite common to lose more at the beginning and then lose slower at the end.0

I started at the beginning of August at 275lbs, eating 1470 calories (sedentary) and eating back some of my exercise calories. I averaged a 1500 net calorie deficit a week and lost between 2 and 3 lbs a week. I'm 254 now and am eating 1410 net and the weight is still coming off.
I didnt expect to lose anything (I have been eating very little all of my adult life and have had to learn to eat two to three times as much as before just to lose weight), and am pleasantly surprised.0
