During my school years by weight ballooned to a massive 17st which knocked my confidence completely, at that point I realized I had to do something about my weight, so I put myself on a small diet and managed to lose a stone before leaving school. However even at 16st I still wasn't content, I could barley walk up the stairs without getting breathless but this time I chose to do nothing about it. It wasn't until the beginning of 2013 I thought enough was enough, I was unfit, lacking in confidence and wanted to change. I started the slim-fast diet for a couple of month to kick start my weight loss, it worked very well I managed to lose 1/2 stone. I also joined the gym which is now starting to be a major part of my life. 9 months on I'm still on my diet (watching what I eat) still going to the gym, but now starting to maintain my weight and build muscle. I'm a lot happier in myself, I've gain confidence and I can finally fit into the smaller clothes! Who said new years resolution were silly. Anyway that's my journey so far :-)
