Why can't I lose the last 5 pounds? Help!

So during the school year at college (sophomore now) I'd weigh 108-ish at 5'2 inches easy. Since summer began I gained 5lbs that I just can't lose partially because of the lack of weight training.

I've tried everything. I don't drink anything that isn't water or black coffee, I've cut back fruit servings to 3 a day, most of my meals are salads and lean protein. When I do eat carbs (so I don't get cravings) they're whole wheat or in the form of a sweet potato. The fact that I can barely fit into the shorts that fit perfectly for me is seriously messing with my self esteem. I haven't logged in my food journal since Thursday because I've been busy packing but basically a typical day would look like any entry from my diary.

I run about 2.7 miles a day and do calisthenics and I just can't lose the weight at all!!!

I haven't been able to go out to a restaurant with my family or friends out of fear that I'll gain even more. I thought about increasing calories occasionally but that's what got me into trouble in the first place (I loosened up a little in the beginning of summer), I missed authentic Asian food haha.

I'm not sure exactly how long you've been trying to lose these last 5lbs, but it's going to take about 3 months. Partially because of your height, (petite people tend to have a difficult time creating the same type of deficit as someone taller) and partially because you are at the very low end of the healthy BMI range.

What I notice most days is that you are significantly under eating, even if it is "healthy" food, you still need enough energy for your body to run, and you aren't giving it that. It isn't healthy to under eat.

Set your goal to .5lbs per week and don't expect to lose more than 2lbs a month.
