Good morning!

So a few weeks ago, I went from 1350 kcals to 1600 kcals, lost about 5 pounds. I know that I needed to eat more (I am training for my first half marathon). So I have stalled again... If I calculated my TDEE correctly, I should be eating more. I am 5'8", 183 and workout AT LEAST 5 days a week (Running, Spinning, Yoga). So I am going to jump to 1750 kcals. Has anyone tapered UP and still lost? I would appreciate any constructive input that you might have. I don't know why I am so hesitant about doing this... HELP!!!! :)

I've done 3 halfs. In the spring before my last one, I was watching calories. I am also 5'9" and set my calories at 1800 a day. I added 100 calories for every mile I ran.

I am with you though, after a 2 week plateau I have bumped up my calories and finally got the scale moving.

I increased to 1500 3months ago to train for my first half and I gained 8pounds, still not lost it again I'm gutted lol now down to 1200.

Stats: 5'1" female weight before 110lb weight now 117-118lb I understand this isn't overweight but it took me a year to lose that weight in the first place.

I'm looking forward to running the half in October then getting back to getting down to my comfortable 110lb.
