Exercise Equipment on a Budget.

I'm looking to buy an exercise bike or cross trainer for about £50-£75, there are a few that are in my price range but some have varied reviews so I don't know which I'm best going for. I don't need any hi-tech state of the art exercise equipment, just a simple piece of kit that does the job. Does anyone have any recommendations?
