And so I have a question...I am a horrible eater and I'm [SLOWLY] working on changing my eating habits (my disclaimer)...so today I took 3 of my husbands fries (McDonalds)...how do you figure out something like that?

Also, I went to a kids birthday party today and had 1 slice of pizza that had chicken on it...not good chicken, but like what you would find on a Cici's buffalo chicken pizza. I entered in 2 slices of the Cici's Buffalo Chicken pizza since this piece was slightly bigger than what Cici's serves and it only came up as 280 calories. Do you have any suggestions for figuring out nutritional content for local places that aren't listed in the data base or don't have their nutrutional content online? There is no way that slice of pizza I had was 280 calories!

I don't know an exact way to do this unless you had a recipe and knew exactly what ingredients were in it but I do know there is a feature once you go in to "add food" that is "quick add calories" so you could just estimate and add what you think would be a safe number. Like maybe for the McD's fries, I would think for 3 fries 30 or 40 calories should be safe?? Hope this helps and maybe someone else will know a better way too!

I come across the same problem a lot, especially with pizza. What I usually do is just round up. If you feel that 2 CiCi's slices doesn't equate to what you ate, make it 3. Worst case scenario is you're overestimating and you have some extra calories left over at the end of the day, but that's definitely better than underestimating your calorie intake and throwing yourself off track entirely.

1/4 of a Medium Dominos Pizza with Chicken is just over 300 calories, the 280 might be right. I say might be because I'm not sure what kind of chicken you're talking about :blushing:
