So I am headed to the fair tomorrow. And while I know I am not on a diet I am making a lifestyle change I am soooo nervous about going! I don't want to ruin all my good work but also don't want to deprive myself. Any suggestions on fun foods that won't break my calorie bank???

Thanks!

I went last week and did a Bison Burger with no cheese. I didn't gain a ounce!

    Eat before you go!
Do they still sell cut up melon, or grilled veggies?
Buying a huge lemonade and sipping on it for the several hours you are at the fair will hydrate you and help you not be hungry. Buy the cups that are refillable for a reduced price.
Try to stay away from salty foods.

As you can see on my picture, my daughter, my grandson, and I went to the DE State Fair on July 22nd. We got one very large lemonade and sipped on it for several hours. It was so hot there, that we sweated the entire thing away--did not have to visit the bathroom. And, because it was hot, we were not hungry.

    Hope that helps! :drinker: (lemonade?)

They sometimes have healthy choices like fruit. Ours had strawberries covered only half way in chocolate on a stick. haha.
I don't ever deny myself my chicken on a stick when I go to the fair. I figure its not that often I get to go to those things and can get the stick so as long as I don't overdo it the rest of the day. I think you should at least choose one thing you really want and just enjoy yourself. Every once in a while isn't so bad.

Haha, how is that even possible? I've been curious about the deep fried oreos but have never tried any of that stuff.

They take some kind of dough, deep fry it, fill it with Pepsi syrup (at least I think it's the syrup), sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar....very yummy.
