I just sent out my wedding invitations (114 of them)

I have no idea how to write invitations or what should be said so I looked up some examples online. I came up with what I thought was a perfectly fine invitation and reply card.

I could hardly afford the postage for the invitations so I knew I couldn't also include the kind of reply card that needs to get mailed back. I looked around online and saw a lot of people just ask for a reply by e-mail or phone. I wrote "Reception at 6PM at *address. Please reply to *phone number."

My sister is now saying that I screwed them up and no one will rsvp or know what is going on. Did I ruin everything?

nah...plan for 120 you'll be fine. Families already making a big deal over this? Wait'll they start telling you that you picked out the wrong flowers.

Most people know they need to RSVP to a wedding so I'm sure they will take the extra time to read where they should RSVP to. You'll be fine! I'm opposite of the last poster and say you should plan for 100 (not everyone will make it to your wedding). Don't stress, just enjoy your day!

I'm freaking out. I spent a lot of time on those invitations and it cost me over $50 to send them!

My sister thinks no one will know to rsvp or if we are serving dinner and drinks because I didn't put that on the reply card. I'm just wondering if I need to send out a different response card to everyone.

OH and we are making our own food, 9 pans of lasagna. so we don't need people to tell us what they want to eat.

the kid can chill its your wedding your cards. It's assumed there will be food and drinks at a reception. This is about you and your husband to be anyways so that should be the last worry on her mind.

9 pans you should have plenty of food.

You're right, it's just hard not to worry. I'm sure people understand they need to RSVP and who would have a reception without at least food right? lol. Thanks guys!

Agreed! It will be fine! It will all work out! Tell your sister to ZIP it! The day is about love not food!

If people don't know what's going on, they have your phone number. They can call and ask. Take a deep breath. It's all going to be okay. At the end of your wedding day, you'll be married. Then the real fun can begin. :flowerforyou:
