eating back calories

my goal is to lose body fat. i'm a college freshman on a hilly campus, and my fitbit tells me i can eat up to 800 extra calories every day to make up for the amount i'm burning walking everywhere. to lose one lb per week i should be netting 1370. however i am hungry all the time and usually eat around 2000 a day. can i still lose fat when i'm eating 2000 calories a day but netting much much less? i run and do yoga and volleyball a few times a week. i don't eat a lot of junk, just trail mix and puffins cereal, the caf food is usually lean meats and vegetables, limited carbs.
