Vacation Ideas in the US?

My husband and I want to go somewhere in the states we haven't been before for our wedding anniversary. We have about 4-6 days to spare and will be leaving from the east coast. We have thought about New Orleans but open to some more ideas...I'd appreciate some places in either New Orleans that would be a great place to stay or other places that you recommend...Thanks!

    For our honeymoon, my husband and I flew into LA and drove to San Francisco, then spent most of the time in San Francisco. I think we did one day in San Luis Obispo, one day in Monterey, and four days in SF. We absolutely loved it!
