What about the extra skin when you lose lots of weight

I had trouble choosing a forum for this. Nothing really matched. I am an older woman (64) and have a lot to lose (about 140 lbs). I've lost 47 and already the skin looks like it is sliding south. I know at my age it's not going to be elastic enough to bounce back. Is there anything I can do short of surgery? I've had so much surgery in my life I don't want to invite any more. and anesthesia scares the bejesus out of me. I think it's the total lack of control.

Any suggestions or things you have tried?

It takes about 2 years for skin to shrink back as much as it will but I'm afraid there are no magic secrets to make it go and your age is definitely working against you.

I've had 2 children, lost 100 pounds from my highest weight and am 43. My skin was NOT going to bounce back. I have a picture of it hanging over my pants in my pictures. I had to have a tummy tuck to get rid of it. It may not be for everyone, but it was the best decision for ME personally. Good luck!
