Sugar stresses me out.

Can someone give me some advice please. It's only breakfast, and I've logged what I'm going to eat and I'm already over my sugar, but I'm not sure which are "bad" sugars
So I'm having
1 tbs of hot choclolate mix (which I know is bad, but TMI but I haven't had a bm in nearly a week (IBS) and the only thing that seems to work for me is a cup of coffee which I don't normally drink and can't hack without the hot chocolate in it)
1/4 cup 1% in my coffee
100g of regular fruit flavored yogurt (source) mixed with 100g of plain greek yogurt (i'm making the switch so I'm getting used to the taste, I think I'm just about ready to have it straight after all the other yogurt is used up)
A cup of grapes

I thought I was doing alright until I added the sugar column, am I living in my own delusional world?

ps Be kind, I'm new at this

I don't worry so much about sugar from milk or whole fruits & vegetables. But I am also always way over on sugar & would appreciate any suggestions.

Trust me I am not a nutritionist but here are my suggestions...count Carbs not Sugars and use sugar-free chocolate syrup in your coffee with Hood Calorie Countdown Chocolate Milk. Also, add "Benefiber" in the morning to your yogurt (it has no taste). Choose an organic yogurt and add your own fruit. Good luck and I too am struggling everyday but the goal is so worth it!

Truvia on cereal :) 0 calories, tastes exactly like sugar.

Also, consider protein from sources other than sugary yogurt. I know you said you're switching to greek, which is awesome I love greek yogurt. But how about some egg whites for breakfast. Purhaps some black beans.

This type of protein doesn't come with sugar.

I dont add sugar to anything or eat sweet things, but I was constantly going over on my sugar allowance from my fruit and vegetables, which I know are good for me. I just switched the sugar column off and added a saturated fat column instead. I make sure I kept my carbs and protein balanced but dont worry if they go slightly over because that means I'm having less fat (which is important for me being a diabetic).

I agree with PJRiner "count carbs not sugar" 1 carb produces the same amount of glucose in your blood (which gives you energy but in excess turns to fat) whether it is from sugar, fruit, veg, dairy products, or nuts etc, but the sugar doesn't give you the vitamins and minerals that the other things do and which are essential for a healthy body. In other word the sugar is wasted calories, but ok in moderation.
