Newish and needing support

Hello,

I used MFP a few years ago and had a bit of success with it. Now, having it my "nightmare weight" and the heaviest I've ever been, I'm coming back to try and get in shape, gain control of my eating habits and fit back into my jeans.

I'm a nearly full-time student and full-time server and bartender so I tend to be on-the-go a lot and have a very "wait, wait, hurry, hurry" lifestyle. This often leads to me doing a few things:
1) Eating food that is bad because it's there or because it sounds good.
2) Eating waaaay too much food because I'm bored or it's there (during the wait, wait)
3) Choosing to sit on the internet or in bed or at my desk instead of working out because I'm tired

So my lifestyle is really unbalanced. Looking at my stats so far, moderation and portion size are definitely big problems for me. Another problem is working in enough veggies when I'm on the go.

At home, one of my favorite hobbies is cooking. I'm a huge foodie and I love GOOD food. Which sometimes leads to unhealthy (or less healthy) food decisions. I also live with me partner who, on the flipside, struggles to keep a healthy weight on. So cooking brings the challenge of balancing both of our needs. I've also found it difficult to track a lot of my recipes calorie-wise.

I'm doing my best to take my health and weight-loss seriously. I realized that one of the aspects of success is having positive support and solid advice so I hope to find a couple friends here to add and share progress and advice with.
