I looked for zumba in the exercise section to add it to my exercise but I can't find it. Any one know how much it may burn to do zumba or should I just put it in under something else? Thanks in advance!

    http://www.shape.com/tools_and_calculators/calorie_burn_tool

That site has a drop down menu were you can choose "dance aerobics" and put your weight and it will calculate it for you. It's what I always use :)

I have a zumba option for me. But to be as accurate as possible wear a HRM. For instance, on average I burn around 600 cals an hour, but today was a high intensity and I burned like 760

I researched this too and what I found was that a person of about 150# will burn around 500 cals/hour doing Zumba. However.... its hard to really determine what YOU burn and the person that suggested an HRM is right on. I want to get one myself as I do plan to start Zumba regularly as soon as I can afford the 6 week sessions. :-)

It's alot more than high impact and dance, I think. I could be wrong though. if you can, borrow and HRM from someone for once class and until you lose 10 lbs, just keep using that number - that way you don't have to buy an HRM just for that. :-)

    Good luck & have fun!!

I have to agree that wearing a HRM is really the only way to be accurate - but to give you another general idea - I'm 125 lbs and I exercise about 4 times a week and I burn about 500 cal/hr doing Zumba.
