Signs of increased metabolism?

I don't really count calories, but I'll eat five times a day- breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner. I think my calorie intake is pretty normal, but at around when I'm supposed to go to bed, I feel a bit hungry. Before, with the same diet, it was just fine. Does this mean that my metabolism is faster and that I have to eat more?

Hey,
I think that would depend... are you losing weight at the moment?
I can't bear going to bed hungry - that's the pits! :sad:0 -
The worst is starting to feel hungry when you're just about to fall asleep . It's like, if I eat now, I have to wait until I can lie down again and then you wake up extremely hungry.0

It means you're burning more calories and creating a larger deficit.0

This doesnt answer your question but if you want to avoid eating before bed, then brush your teeth as soon as you get a hunger pang and you wont want to eat anything afterwards as you'll feel 'ready for bed' that goes from my experience0

Are you sure it is hunger, and not thirst? I only ask because I have heard that sometimes, what we determine as hunger pangs can actually be representative of thirst - although I have to admit, I hate having to get up in the middle of the night to pee.0

I actually try to do that after each meal. I try to eat in a 3-4 hour period though.0
