Stuck at 185 ... Help!

I've lost almost 40 pounds on my journey so far, so I can't complain about that! But right now i'm hovering at 185 and just not getting anywhere further in the past month or so. I switched up my workout routine, have been monitoring my nutrition and I just seem to be stuck!

Has anyone experienced this and can anyone help me out about how to get over this hump?

I only have 25 lbs to go ... it's so close and I'm trying not to get discouraged.

Sometimes your body just needs a rest. If you're maintaining right now at least you aren't losing ground. Maybe rework your calorie intake and lessen you weight loss goal since you are so close to where you want to be. The last pounds are hard because your body just doesn't want to lose it's safety blanket.

    Patience is key.

Just don't get all butt-hurt and think about giving up.

With less to lose, it will come off slower. Aim for 1/2 a lb a week, adjust your numbers, keep up the exercise, and don't get weighed for a month. See if it makes a difference.

Did you recalculate your calories? 40 pounds lost usually means a bit less calories... sorry!

I recalculated my calories and I'm maintaining, so you're right, that is a plus!

I'm going to go to 1/2 lb a week instead of a pound and not weight for a good month!!

    Thanks for the advice!!
  • I was stuck at that too. I moved my calories down to 1320 and ate back half of my exercise calories. I lost 6 lbs in 3 weeks.
